It appears that Opera can not use an Internet connection from my Mac Powerbook when paired via BT. (It does work for my PC, though...)

Has anyone had success getting their p800 to use a Mac's internet connection?

I connected to Internet through my Powerbook and BT. I use OSX 10.2.5 and Apple increased the BT support from 10.2.4.

Just checked, apparently I did not connect through BT, but GPRS, which means that they have upgraded the GPRS net, since it actually work where I live, (sad excuse, but I tried it last night, and it _really_ looked as it was working

Hippo, how do you do all these things with your TDK Bluetooth Adapter? I am using one too, but somehow am not able to:

> - made backups of P800 over bluetooth link
Thought this is not possible over Bluetooth? Only via Cable?

> - listened and talked on a phone call over bluetooth link using my PC speakers (incl subwoofer!) and mic **how cool is this!)**
Would really like to find out how to do this... please explain...

> - it even lets me listen to PC sound through my HBH-30!
This I tried too, but can't... please tell me how...

And do you manage to use the SMS software that comes with it? I can't get it to work... please help if you can...

All in all, I am pleased with the TDK Adapter...

You're right, I guess I used the word backup confusingly and it suggests using the SE backup utility. In fact what I did was copy files from the P800 to my PC using the file manager tool (download from my-symbian).

The TDK USB adapter supports all the Bluetooth profiles, not just "serial port" (which is what the SE PC Suite uses). I can't remember exactly what steps you need to take as I don't have that PC with me, but it's just a matter of setting up your PC as a bluetooth headset using the "headset" profile. Have a play with this.

In this case, you need to pair the PC with the HBH-30 (the P800 of course is not involved) and this time use the "Audio gateway" service.

You need to experiment a bit with TDK's software. It's quite good.

>And do you manage to use the SMS software that comes with it? I >can't get it to work... please help if you can...
No, TDK mobile does not support the P800. There's something about this in the FAQ on TDK's website if I remember correctly, it's because the P800 doesn't respond to the same API commands as other phones.

Me too!

I've had no trouble with either the usb cradle at work or my bluetooth doble at home. Pretty cool vnc'ing to the servers via the p800. Screen redraws are soooo slow though.
