I have tried to use audio profiles with TDK Bluetooth PC Card, Software version 1.3.2.19, and Sony Ericsson HBH-20 headset. The sound quality is decent when I initiate connection from the headset. However, when the connection is initiated from the pc, I miss every other word, although people can still hear me fine (on the IP-phone). Unfortunately, I can initiate connection from the headset only to one device (that was paired last). Anybody had a similar experience?

Hi... i realize that this thread is kinda dead but i have the kind of the same problem.. i what to use my bluetooth headset with my computer (skype) i can get the sounds from the computer to the headset but i cant get the headset to work as a mic for the computer... you know what i mean?
I connect the headset with the headset profile and then choose "bluetooth audio" in the sound setup (control panel) and that works with outgoing sound but not with recording (mic).. any suggestions?

To Evilsummer:
Have You checked the Volume Control, Choose Bluetooth Audio device and "Adjust volume for" "Recording", instead of "Playback". Your mic maybe just muted.
To upper:
Use the search here on esato or on google. There was a site about "adjusting" the Widcomm software to work on any dongle.

i have got a logitech mobile freedom headset, and i have a ibm t41p with built in bluetooth (bluetooth device RFCOMM Protocol TDI)
i was able to pair up the logitech mobile freedom headset wif my sony ericsson T610, and i can pair up with my IBM T41p
but in control panel - sound and audio device, apart from my own sound device, i cant see the logitech mobile freedom as another choice ...
so even if i play music on my IBM T41p, i still couldnt hear music through the headset ...
any advice please ?

To all who have tried....
1. The BT drivers in XP do not support the headset profile. You need to download and install other drivers (Widcomm is the best) and then update your driver.
2. A very detailed and step by step guide to setting up for Skype can be found here:

I have been using a logitech headset and Belkin dongle and they work great.
