whats the chances that anyone has a Mac out there?
Since seeing the P800 thought it would be ideal companion for my PowerBook and now I learn that iSync doesn't work and limited functionality with address book.
wanted phone to ring on PowerBook and then answer with speakerphone - not going to happen just yet - got vcfs over and everything and bluetooth fine but no connection to the SyncStation via USB - how come -anyone able to answer this?

I got my phone upgraded today at R's Electrics, Tottenham. Be warned, unless there is "a fault with the phone" they will charge you £17.63 for the upgrade (I think they have had a lot of people just getting upgrades done for the sake of it). I got my last phone (R380) upgraded there (for free) so I was more than happy to support them.
I personally didn't mind paying, it gives you full screen pics & video and new communicam features...
It does wipe all data, but if you back up all the file structure using the P800's File Manager (copy files & folders to the memory stick then use Windows Explorer to copy them to a safe place on your PC) then you can pick specific files and copy them back to your phone after the upgrade (for example, browser bookmarks, jotter files, etc!) And of course for the rest of the data you just select a Full Synchronisation from the sync menu...
Only one thing I haven't found - the file which contains your call info data? (it would be nice to copy this back too) as I like to know how many minutes per month I use!
By the way they said it would take 3 hours for the upgrade (so if you decide to go there, go early in the day
cheers,
Helen.

Hiya,
I went this morning to a service centre in Pocklington and had my P800 upgraded to :
Phone : R2D
BlueTooth : R5A
Organiser : R2A16
It took about an hour and was without incident. The phone came back like it had been started up from new - apart from what was stored on the memory stick. All settings had been reset. It didn't cost me a penny.
Does anyone know how to get the GPRS settings back for Orange? It's the only thing I'm having grief about it.
Cheers
Paul
