@ moodswinger charged as off-peak time except during peak time. @ --gamber price you have is for an account to connect another device using phone as modem. This message was posted from a T300

On T-MOBILE USA you pay $3 for the first Mb $10 for each additional Mb pro-rated. Or you can pay $10 for 10 Mb if you plan to use it a lot. The basic plan also allows set up of a CSD dialup data account. I mostly use that since I get unlimited nights and weekends.

You don't need to subscribe to any T-Zones plan to make use of CSD. The above plans are only for basic access, i.e. wap, email. If you want regular internet access as well for a laptop and such you'll need one of the T-Zones Internet plans that start at 5mb for 19.99 to 200mb for $99.99, so needless to say GPRS for PCs is still quite pricy here in the states.

@ KrazyKritter Can you really use CSD 4 free without T-Zones account? And yes, GPRS is way too expensive in the states. Especially for full internet access. I'll stick with wap access. And mostly surf CSD off peak. This message was posted from a T300

I get 10 Mbytes/mo. for US$9.99 with T-Mobile, and YES I've confirmed that 10 Mbytes WAP and corp. e-mail access is correct. My bill does reflect this.

GPRS costs me £2.35/MB but that still seems expensive 2 me since even with piccies off i can get 200k in about 3-4 minutes :-( don't really understand how that is possible. This message was posted from a P800

GPRS isnt really that expensive as long as you only use it for wap sites, which are limited to 3kb eack, so you can get about 350 to a mb but when you hook it up to a laptop and use it for stndered web access it gets very expensive.

I'm now on Orange NL (pay monthly) because their GPRS rates rule (compared to the other providers)...

You pay €6 a month for:
Unlimited wap (over GPRS)
2MB 'real' internet traffic

every mb after those 2 will be €3

and it will be payed out of the amount you already paid for the subscription...

@gzumba Yes you can use CSD without having any T-Zones plan. They're two seperate systems and one doesn't have anything to do with the other. Using CSD simply deducts from your anytime minutes. Some have claimed they use their m2m, or free nights/weekend minutes so if you're one of the lucky people great but that's the exception not the rule. We're on the faimly plan, and it shows upon our bill as m2m, but that's not the case for everyone, nor is it how they intended it.
