but could it be that Sonysyle or other SE retailer raise the price?
and if they call u tomorrow and say :"T610 is now $3900, do u want one?", can this happen? what to do then ?

@mav well said and nicely put.The problem is not so much as catching the bug but to the over reaction of the authorities to assuage the fear of the populace which is as you noted so much media hype making travel very inconvenient.

I guess anything is possible, but i'd say the chance of what u said happenning is unlikely. And if they did publish the wrong price initially, i think (i hope) they will let the people who have already ordered get it at the original price anyway. As most people would know, consumer spending in hong kong isn't exactly sky-rocketting and if SE do end up jacking up the price then it'd be a great way to piss off the few willing buyers left out there.
