LOL! That is really really stupid. No way that phone can compete with the P800. I totally agree, what's the idea of having a pen etc on that little screen? Foolish... and, hm, ugly is it too.
How can they even call it a PDA?

That's why Nokia's not marketing it as a PDA!!
It's aimed soley for the Asian market, with the ability to send SMS written in Chinese characters! Also incorporates s/w to translate it from Chinese-English.
But it just shows that Nokia are working on pen-based input phones. It's only a matter of time before Nokia releases a UIQ based Smartphone!

The 6108 is just a niche entry-level phone, aimed at making Chinese text entry possible in the low end (Series 40), which enables text messaging easier. It's NOT meant to compete with middle/high end (Symbian OS) devices.

everyone who is dissing this phone is crazy,
It looks alright enough, considering I'm not a bit Nokia phone, everyone konws it's not trying to compete with the P800 so PLEASE PEOPLE STOP SAYING IT. It's basicly a 6100 with a clever text input method and supports traditional chinese okay.
It will work all over the world and will ship with english recognition out of the box so don't be to surprised if you see folks in other parts of the world using them. And yes I own a P800 and yes I love it to bits,
