Guys,
Believe me, don't mess around with the 13 secs trick, you will eventually kill the battery and it is expensive, besides risking of locking the phone f-o-r-e-v-e-r. Do the Master Reset by accessing the configuration menu, option 0, at the bottom.

Anyone notice effects on battery performance and management of the unit after trying the 13 sec trick?

hmm effects on the battery...
my t610 doesn't seem to last as long as it did on the first time i used it. I brought it on Vodafone fully charged. Since the 'trick' which will have been the first time it was ever charged it doesn't seem to last as long as when it was pre-charged.
Could this be because its brand new and only been charged twice now or because of that trick? If so will a new battery cure it? Or does it need to be taken back to Vodafone? Will I be able to get a new one using the excuse that the battery does not last long enough? I'm a bit worried after hearing this now!
Any help would be appreciated!

Hey I did the 13 sec trick on my T68i and I noticed I got more free space but I do also remember some of the functions wouldnt work - cant remember which ones thou - so I just did a proper master reset and its working fine now
I guess when u take out the battery during a master reset, the phone is obviously still installing and programming the functions so by cutting the power, not all of the functions get installed properly.

since I bought my t610 recently and read abt this 13sec trick...i've been wanting to try it...but i'm rather concern abt screwing up other functions in the phone....
anyone found anything unusual in the phone's application after the 13sec trick? (apart from the suspected shorter standby time...)

The 13 sec trick does not remove anything that can't be manually removed. In other words it's useless, and nothing more then an entertaining mass hysteria on these forums....

however it removed the t-mobile junk off my t300, which couldn't be deleted any other way!
