If you spraypaint a stylus, wouldn't it just change coulour, and the design would stay the same?

Coming from experience being a ex Psion 5 user for years I wouldn't use a metal stylus full stop - I had the bill for a scratched screen for my troubles!

In my humble opinion, it just looks like cheap plastic that was painted with a gold permanent marker and whoever did it was in a hurry

Hi Guys,
Further to my last post on the reasons why I made the stylus, some people think its not real. Well, it is real gold, as I previously said it actually started life as an old gold ring. I wanted a heavier stylus because I felt that the plastic one was just too light.
I cut the ring, and flattened it out using a hammer and then gently used the hammer to reshape it into the general shape of the standard stylus, then using a dremel hand drill shaped the hole (very important to avoid damaging the plastic hook on the P800) and then a polisher to finish it off. That is why it looks slightly bumpy - because I hammered the metal to start with and then polished it. The tip of the stylus is actually plastic (a softer plastic than the standard to avoid scratching the screen).
It's not supposed to be a commercial offering, just me sharing with my fellow P800 owners something special I did for the P800.
I have heard that someone over on AllAboutSymbian has been making a commercial offering that will be better made - cast as opposed to hand hammered - and then many more people could get one.
Have a great day,
Simon
