@ vassago

phones have a sticker on the internal surface of the handset. In most cases, this is just above where the sim card is inserted. Somewhere on there, you will see a code that is something like 03W16. The first 2 digits will denote the year of manufacture, the second set of digits is the week number. The W obviously is just a code for the word "week". The location of this code may vary slightly on the sticker depending on the phone model, but it should still be there none the less.

Did your handset come with preinstalled MViva data account settings?

Umm... well if that was the cause of it, I guess the world has gone mad

On a serious note, I was checking to see if sim-free handsets are customised to the selling stores requirements, and not just the more common case of network operators requirements.

I saw the detailed write up by Suicidebob on June 10 stating differences between Unlocked and Simfree phone. Do you think the minor problems that may take place in Unlocked phones can be overlooked considering the huge saving. Vasaga bought Unlocked SE T610 for UK Pound Sterling 164. Is it giving you any problem after using Master Reset? I would love to buy one for myself for use in India. Kindly guide me.
