The Nokia 6600 looks like an egg

Comparing this phone to P800 is just silly. The P800 with its large touchscreen is in a league of its own, end of story.
However, I do believe Nokia is going in the right direction. The Series 60 interface is not bad at all, and they are really trying to make the phones smaller and more mainstream. I hate the design though, but thats just me, and others may love it. Either way, the screen seems to be fantastic.
I just hope we can see this functionality in a T610 form factor soon.

Whoa, soo many threads talking about the same thing, don't know where to make my point. Um, this is supposed to be a 3G phone, right?
Well, if it is, where the hell is the camera facing the front? I want to be able to make a video-call with a 3G phone, I guess that with the Nokia this can't be done

As to the size of the 6600 it is 108.6x58.2, i.e. about 7 millimeters taller than T610 (but then again, the screen is larger too), and about 1.5 centimeters wider. All in all, it sounds actually quite good
I like the skin-like customization possibility of this phone. It's what I'm lacking on my series 60 right now...
Wish it was out already... Q4 is though just 3 months away

I've been using a 3650 for a while now and this thing doesn't impress me much... it's the same damn phone but they put a conservative faceplate on it... they gave it a touch more memory..it's a waste of time..but i guess it's to convert all those 3650 haters.
does it compare to the p800?again always depends on one's needs..but it will does appeal more to the general masses becasue it's another FUN toy...just like my 3650 it's a super cool toy..in my mind cooler than a p800 and more useful for the fun"ner" parts...
I really do hope SE does come up with something new and on time to match this and offer people a "fun alternative" the t610 disappointed me and the p800 i have no need for....(still no camcorder app and 2 pricey)
but i think SE should build a smartphone with super rf...(sorry SE rf suffers greatly in NOrth America compared to those nokia's don't know why??) Pretty much a t610 with these functions and a little more "something new" and we'd all be drooling...

@Super G
You should not trust the meassurements Nokia uses for their mobile phones. In the printet May issue of the Swedish magazine Mobile, one reader measure his 6100 and 7210 and found that what's listed on the Nokia web site not matched the acctual size of the phone.
One of the editors checked their 3510i and found that Nokia's claimed 17.1 mm was on the thinest part of the phone! They meassured 21mm at the thickest part, and 17 on the thinnest.
BTW:

does not meassure their phones this way.

se dont have to measure that way as all there phones are perfect RECTANGLES with no shape
just joking although i do hate he t310
on paper i think it sounds a very good phone looks are subjective some people will love it some will hate it
also until you see it in the flesh its hard to tell
how many people liked the t610 in picture then when they saw it in the flesh fell in love with it.
dont think it a 3 g phone but either way its going to do some damage to se people who moved across because of the exellent p800 may move back to this if they looks the specs look as good if not better in some deptartments

Well... I measured my 7210 and it fits exactly to what Nokia is saying on their website i.e. 106x45x17.5mm
I also measured my NG.... and again it fits perfectly what Nokia is saying (ok, the point something millimeters, I don't get them exactly, I admit)
As to the thinnest part, they used to provide both the thinnest and thickest parts earlier, but now I agree that only one of them is listed (thinnest), for some reason...
Measures are using the metric system btw
(NASA crashed some Mars explorer or something like this due to this...
