It will work with your current Orange sim but not recommended as may lose some of your menu options!...What u can do is have your old number transfered over to the new sim supplied with phone!!

If you work for Orange I find it hard to believe they would have informed you before the actual launch.

Me jonbob thinks hes really clever....just to let u know that all the Orange stores in the Uk were sent out the prices well ahead of stock delivery and even though there is no actual payg stock in yet we have already advertised the pre-pay price alongside the contract price on the shop floor!!And we are expecting stock by weekend!!

When you say it may lose some of the menu options, is this because it is an older sim and not compatible with some of the newer features and therefore be the same if i bought a sim free phone? I am concerend about this because I have arround £50 credit, and get 5 free texts for life cos i have the original orange out here on it so would prefer to not lose these.

When you go to the Orange shop to make your t610 purchase tell the member of staff you would like a number retention that way you will get to keep your old number and any credit you have will also be transfered over to the new sim card with the phone.That way you will have a brand new sim card with all your old account details ready to use in your new handset!!
