Off topic first:- I dislike because they're over-priced (Ferrari is more expensive than Ford, Nokia tends to be more expensive than SE or anyone else) unattractive and poorly designed (can't we go back to the 'classic' 3x4 keypad with 'retro' features like 12 separate keys?) As for which manufacturer I'll do what I always do, see what's out there This message was posted from a T610

I would like to see what clubsonyericsson.com does

On the Nokia vs. SE issue I find that SE phones are less n00b and allow me to do a lot of things Nokia phones cant. Also Nokia phones are generally very cheap feeling. To those that say that "they are producing a lot of phones so of course their standards are going to slip" - what kind of excuse is that. Are you saying that because Sony makes a lot of TV sets they are allowed to make them dodgy quality?

The MAIN problem that SE have is that their products are late to the market. The T610 should have been out over 6 months ago - by now most of the public who wanted a small camera phone have already bought the 7250.
In that sense Nokia are quite good. They released important products like the 7650/7250 before anyone else and have reaped the rewards.

Which company would i switch to? The SX1 is looking good - but I am not very impressed with the Siemens UI. I would probably get the Samsung D700 Smartphone.

The siemans sl55 only looks good.

the functions are crap.

If you're after looks, then the sl55 is ideal.

Hmm, if it were to happen now and no more phones were to be produced I would wait for 3G... Until a reasonably good, small yet powerful 3G phone comes out, i would buy that one, from whichever manufacturer... but so far I have to say that SE's Z1010 is the most exciting, but if SE vanishes, hard choice

I don't think SE will vanish as easily as we think.

They shall be here a long time.
