one of the dealers down here who has a p800 had pulled his phone apart and custom painted it with that not to expensive chrome illusion paint kits, its a nice deep purple with metallic blue and red speckles in it, changes colours at different angles... looks kewl, but remember only paint the separated panels he said... I was like DUH!!! no kidding imagine some idiot trying to tape off the screen with masking tape or something... anyway that is tho only one in that colour so far, and he has an extra housing of original colour should he need it. Food for thought people

If you are in the USA, and wish to have your P800 retrofitted with the mineral grey housing, you can contact us. We are an authorized SE Service Point in the Los Angeles, CA area. As far as the color goes, it's just different. I could not comment on it being better than the other as I enjoy both colors. It's more of a professional look in my opinion with its "cold steel" neutral coloring as opposed to the "louder" blue which seems to grab more attention. Below are some bad pics that I took.

Does anyone know where can I get a software upgrade in KL? I bought my P800 in Feb 2003, also at Sony Wings. Come to think of it, I kinda like the mineral gray version, looks cool!! But I also am satisfied with my blue version. Thanks in advanced.

Do you sell a gray housing kit?

How much does it cost?

You can send your P800 to Amcorp Mall (Ericserve) and upgrade your phone firmware. Please remember to bring along your Warranty card. All the best.
