@lloydcody Very good piont that. I am not too into the leagal aspect of this to be honest. Good batting thinkman! I welcome all the input you you can come up with. Oh yeah, just for the record: I'm not earning a penny on this! This message was posted from a P800

'lo again tranquil.

the devs at work shrugged and went for more coffee.
I told you they were nerds!

Sorry mate, they're the only guys I know in that game.

The voice signature thing was a great idea, but I doubt very much it would be useable in a dispute situation.

Where (geographically) Is the target-market of your application?
Digital signatures of the size producable on the p800 do not count as evidence in a court in the scandinavian countries, whereas the US and Canada are less restricive (that is in the US, a couple of states would accept it while others only rate it as indications); the European Union is currently working on legal drafts for exactly this issue and there are absolutely no indications as where we are heading to as different countries in the EU have different positions here. Unfortunately I do not know about the other continents but I assume that the situation is quite similar there: some do and some don't.

But then, this question only becomes relevant if the person signing the form really has to give proof to something with his signature. Wouldn't it be easier (and/or more secure) to use digital signatures instead?
