Jeez... You HAD to ask about the signal indicator didnīt you?
Now i have become aware of it too.. yes, it almost constantly fluctuates between two bars and full on mine (latest fw) doesnīt seem to have an effect on actual reception though since sound has been perfect so far on both ends of the line..
Btw, i am on third charge since i got the phone now. First charge lasted three days (lots of syncing fiddling and cusomization), second charge 6 days (normal use)
mind you, I am talking 24 hour days here.

If i stand in my kitchen, which used to be a bakkery, thus very well insulated, i stil get 1 to 2 bars (fluctuating) and am able to make phonecalls. If I go down to the basement i get 1 bar and am still able to call (with little distortion). Now that's good reception! And i've read on this forum that fw version R1L even improves reception

well as far as signal goes im abotu 1/4 of a mile away form the nearest transmitter and get 100% signal. the t610 stands up better than my t68i when im at work. i cna even get signal in the freezer at work when my 68i struggled to even get signal in the kitchen.
the freezer is basicly a metal box about 12' x 15' x 14' with a double lovking door. now theres no way i shoudl get signal in that. but my t610 and a 3650 gets signal in there.
im never any ferther that a mile away from a base station and at closest im a matter of feet away from it. theres 1 on top of solihull college. that back of where my mum works.
