The thing I don't like about the case above is that they don' protect the WHOLE phone. Lots of areas are open to scratches etc, whereas the leather zip krussel case will protect the whole phone at all times. If I wasn't so bothered about screwing up my phone with scratches etc I wouldn't bother with a case, as it feels and looks nicer without one... however... i am bothered

does anyone know any easy solutions to getting rid of scratches? just curious 2 know. i wud of thought if u take it into a place to service it they could put some stuff on it or woteva

The BodyGlove case comes in at least two sizes, the size I bought is just right, the 610 sinks in and is just about covered right up (to be exact it comes level with the lower front panel of the case) you can lay it on any edge and no part of the phone comes into contact with the surface, so no scratches.

Actually, you'd be surprised... that case does protect the phone very well. The 'ribbing' around the edges of the neoprene is bigger all round than the phone, so that comes into contact with anything first, not the phone.

The only part that protrudes slightly is the very top tip of the phone by a couple of millimetres. You'd have to be extremely unlucky to drop it at the exact angle for the phone to contact first! I've tried it, (on the carpet of course!).

The back of mine is higher than the front by a good centimetre, protects the top of the phone better, dont know why its different to your pics.

edit, your side on pics show the difference but not the front view, thats why it looked different.

Mine is higher at the back too - maybe just the low angle I took the photos. Check the side views to see...

does anyone know if there are any uk dealers for the vajacases?

I have to say that my previous phone the nokia 5210 was great for knocks and bumps. as it was coming near the end of its life me and my mates were throwing it about. throwing it into the air and letting it just land straight onto concrete. if there is a scratch the fascia could then b easily replaced. the incredible thing is it still works fine today!!

why arent more phones made like this?

There are some cheap clear cases on eBay but by the look of them, they are thin plastic, not the flexible thicker plastic like the ones (I think) you're after.

I guess the T610 is still relatively new, so the manufactures that weren't ready or quick off the mark are still developing cases.

If anyone is interested the Orange Shop do a phone case for the T610...you have access to all buttons and there is a whole in the back of the case for the camera. Its a simple black case with a fixed belt clip, but it only costs £9.99 and it also covers screen...no scratches on my phone yet!
