Don't get me wrong guys, I'm a true SE fan too, the last 3 phones I've owned have been SE including the T610. But really, this idea of "promoting" SE phones is a little extreme and quite frankly, a tad stupid. Promoting a profit company's brandname should be done by the the company itself, not it's customers. Once again, I like SE, but I'm not obsessed with them like some people here seem to be. What'll be next? SE tattoes?

I would have helped if it wasn't for the incredibly poor after sales service i've experienced since owning my T610. I have been purchasing Sony Ericssons and Ericssons for 6 years now, and I think the T610 will be my last.
I agree there phones are great (when they work properly), but the aftersales service is S#\£.

Agreed, mav. Given all the forged addresses, viruses and general mayhem going on lately, I'd bet it's also a great way to find yourself in legal trouble with SE in a hurry.

My uncle threw away his old analogue phone and bought a t39 when I showed him how you use a bluetooth headset.
My sister went for an Ericsson when I showed her the Chatboard for writing smses.
A norwegian friend of mine bought a t68i when I showed him his pic on the screen taken by a MCA-25.
A collegue of mine went crazy when I showed him bluejacking, hehe! Well he bought a t68i too
A girl I showed the Iceage.gif screensaver animation in a pub went buying a t300 the day after...
IMHO this is the best way to help

Admitting have not read the email nor do I wish to, I think marketing of a brand should be left to the brand.
I do think a legal disclaimer is necessary tho, you don't want to find yourself in trouble here. Something along the lines of all this being your own initiative and that you have no relationship whatsoever to the actual firm.
Finally..... I HATE spam. Any email (even from friends) that brings me unwanted advertising, any PM on any forum that is sent to persuade me to do something, anything along those lines.... it p*sses me off. I sincerely doubt I am alone in that.
I know for a fact none of my friends would be amused if I sent them something like this, nor would I be if they send me this.
Sorry.... I don't think it's a good idea.

Hi, I think floke is quite right. His examples would be the best way to promote SE. Also websites and forums lure a lot of people looking for a new phone. DO NOT start spamming people, since a textual email does not promote anything, quite the opposite.

If SE is going down it is going down you efforts won't make any difference. Like B.S like this would ever generate enough cash flow to matter.

Promoting SE can be alright, but not by sending mails to everyone in your contact list. Better to create a website, write a review or somthing...
