Yea I must second that the comment about Sri Lanka is quite ignorant...
The mobile telecommunications industry is developing very fast in South Asia. Id say in a couple of years that there will be more mobiles owned than people having landlines as is the fact in some countries around the world. I went to India 2 years back and just the rich had mobiles but now I went back recently and they are much more affordable and they have all the latest phones and GPRS, MMS and the calls are cheaper than landlines.
Secondly I have to comment about the discussion about Malindas gender - I would hope in this day and age that ppl in the western world would not be as ignorant to think that the whole world runs on the Anglocised/European gender system for names (unless ur American LOL!). The fact is that most languages today are derived from Sanskrit, an ancient indian language.
Apart from that, what do ppl expect of Esato? I have known from early on that this is the home of garbage posts and ppl asking dumb useless questions! If u want serious discussion I suggest u look elsewhere!

but that might just be me cuz I live in North America

English is NOT derived from Latin as English is a Germanic language and Latin connected to the Romance languages which are closer connected with Celtic langages than Germanic and from which French, Spanish and Italian are derived.
