@ melburnians: Toorak Rd. definitely the go and I've already revealed my 'happy hunting ground' in South Melb. over on the main bluejack thread.
- it NEVER misses.
Pulled up in Toorak rd. today and had my car-charger still plugged in to my Tablet when I turned it on so my Wi-Fi card started working (normally battery mode I leave it turned off) and BINGO! found myself connected to some schmucko's LAN
No security, no nuthin.
I know it's not the same but y'know it IS wireless!
Anyways, as the Magpies are heading for another stint at the 'G' let's all have a fantastic BlueJacking weekend.
Here are some suggestions...

actually I reckon wifi sniffing is much more fun than bluejacking. I use my ipaq 5450 all the time to try that stuff.
I can't believe some people though, how unsecure they are. Even I know that I have to protect my home wifi network by registering the mac addresses in the router so that it won't accept any others that pass by. Not totally fool proof although mac addresses are unique in the world but they can be spoofed, but certainly better than just using WEP encryption for which you can download various programs from the net to crack!

Silly question - but what do I do next?
(as I haven't actually used my WiFi capabilities yet.)
Today I had his IP addresses, signal strenght, avail. bandwidth etc. - it was showing up as a 'network connection'.
I only had a few mins (late for appt.) - what steps do I go through to "look" at his network?
P.S. - it's that time of year... still got a footy team?

Some Nokia Bluetooth will only work with other NOKIA Bluetooth.
ie The Nokia 6310i with software versions previous to 5.22 will only work with a Nokia bluetooth headset.
Nokia's last well built phone was a 3210. Since the 3210 Nokia have produced sewrage.

OK- whats this bluejacking about? I thought you had to have the other persons permission (by a entering a common code) to access their phone?
I have a 3650? How do you actually bluejack someone else?

no, what you are describing is pairing.. bluejacking (as its name suggests) is where you do it without their permission, like hijacking, or carjacking.
Normally you create a contact or some other item in your phone that allows sending via blueooth. Then attempt to send that by bluetooth and you should be presented with a list of visible bluetooth compatible equipment in range, you then choose one and your contact or whatever is sent to them
Not sure how it works exactly on Nokia but the principal should be the same as
