both of mine have the support braces on it, but one of my p800 does that squeaky thing, the other does not. I used that "blue tack" stuff, reusable putty adhesive, used for posters and crap like that. anyway but a small wad between the middle of the battery and cover and also a small amount on each side of the bottom where the grooves are. works without permanately modifying the phone and it has lasted so far... does add a little more weight though. not huge but slightly noticeable between two handsets.

did you check the link? so you didnt bend it the wrong way, I did it the first time and it got worse, and if you did just bend it back, maybe the one you got is better designe, and i dont now your handcrafting helderluis. and you question; i got those on my cover also
and to all people, dont bend like mad, DONT BEND ON THE MIDDLE, has no effect, just bend the lower part first, the part of the cover thats hardest to bend. Try to bend form the SE logo and down and isolate the rest of the cover from bending. And as i said, dont bend like mad and bend a litle and test, then bend a litle more ect...
