I contacted my service center and according to them, it's only free if there is an issue with the phone that has to be fixed.
They said I had to pay 300SEK, kind of surprised me.
But I then claimed that my phone often hung during java games and that I've heard that R3C would fix it (improved java support), thanks to that I can now upgrade it for free.

well, I use voice and sms a lot, bluetooth to back up and transfer pictures, and that's about it !
