I contacted my service center and according to them, it's only free if there is an issue with the phone that has to be fixed.

They said I had to pay 300SEK, kind of surprised me.
But I then claimed that my phone often hung during java games and that I've heard that R3C would fix it (improved java support), thanks to that I can now upgrade it for free.

They are trying to rip you off. During the warranty period, upgrades are free. I've been to my local service center more then 15 times with different phones to upgrade. Never payed an øre

well, I use voice and sms a lot, bluetooth to back up and transfer pictures, and that's about it !

Does anyone know where I could get this done in West London ?
