the v600 is a mere £30 heftier than the z600 offline at £299 and £269 respectively. i dont mind spending the extra if it works well, unlike my cursed p800.

Motorola hasn't exactly got a good reputation in my eyes, most of their phones has been below average and their user interfaces has been pure crap.
But let's hope this is a better one. I will not consider one before I've tried it, though. Call me sceptical, but I've tried a few Motorolas before and they have all been disappointing.

if ever i take on a brand new phone i would certainly consider the Z600 againts the V600, just for the mere fact the SE Z600 has lots more accessories, better personalization menus and upgradable software.
No other phone; up to now can be personalized the way a SE phone can.

yeah, thats true... does the V600 have interchangeable covers? and do u mean that the V600 is not firmware-upgradeable?

@GoH
Siemens is actually ay least as good in those aspects as SE..
You can maipulate every file in the filesystem and backup everything (like java games) to HDD
AND you can upgrade its FW yourself using cable and FW-update.exe from my-siemens.com
Back to topic.. I will definetly try the V600 when it hits the stores. But if the Menu/UI is anything like the older Motos i will not even consider it!
