Hey!
Ok, I learned smth. more about those technologies. But hey! In a few years we will be able to "swim" in a real radio net. I'm not against technology, god no!, but how about that: I'm surfing the esato forum and downloading things, on GPRS from my lovely R520m using, of course, the blue technology (bluetooth).
Radio waves: monitor, phones bluetooth device, BT dongle, phone's modem a.k.a.gprs network connection, normal radio waves (since I'm listening radio), the other GSM900/1800/1900 networks, and so on. What about a clean planet? He

He

He
I still love all that tech.

3G - UMTS:
WCDMA is the standard adopted mostly in Europe.
CDMA2000 is the standard adopted mostly in the US and currently in use by Verizon and Sprint.
WCDMA is said to be faster but CDMA2000 is easier/cheaper to upgrade.

WCDMA IS the 3G so it is for sure faster (2MB/sec), allows video-conference...there`s a bright future for us in the mobile technology:D
