I'm thinking of buying one.. but its too expensive sim-free so might have to buy it on contract. I've been hearing that the software on the phone is naff compared to other phones. :S

Ok I too will be getting a T616 (I live in Canada so 800Mhz, yeah its termed 850Mhz but rarely is at that bandwidth is closer to 800Mhz, will help RF) and a T630Black.

What will persuade me to go to the V600?? Not video clips, not MP3 based ringertones, not bluetooth(more of a disadvantage on Moto's part I think unless....), or any other of its small features.

Flip design is compelling and I was one of the first to say that I'll be getting the V600; however my decision has changed. Flip design is sweet and I'm not gonna buy the Z600 because of the design outside the phone....it looks to much like the T39m (an excellent phone) on steriods!
If I cannot find a VERY sweet and yet incognito case for the T616/630 then I just might consider the V600 or wait! WHY???????

Well unless the V600 can ACTUALLY support and do TRUE handsfree voice dialing over bluetooth or a wired headset that most of us enjoy and love on our SonyEricsson's then I just might wait until a new flip-phone by SonyEricsson comes out that'll do it that is thin, not the 3G phone.

Also I don't want to plunk down $800Can quid for a phone that looks too much like the neutered version that sells for $299Can on contract. Bad taste on Motos part!

Can anyone confirm COMPLETELY handsfree voice dialing over BT on the V600 that uses it??? I don't want to press a button after I turn on my phone, turn on my BT headset (having them already paired and voice commands setup)!!!!

Can any one confirm something on the v600 for me. I was told the address book on it was the biggest waste of time! Supposidly it does not support mulitple numbers under one name.

Is this true?

Can anyone confirm?

drsyd,

Just traded my T610 with a V525. The phonebook system is the same as the V600.

With the Motos, each one has their own separate entry - however, you can view it so that everything seems to be 'grouped' - but it is not to the extent of the SE

For example, with SE you can you scroll thru the names and select 'smith' then you would have a choice of mobile, home, fax, other etc.

With the moto, if you have a smith home, smith mains, smith cell etc, it would recognise it as a group - you would only see one entry of smith (ie smith home). at this point you could either call that particular smith number by pressing the call button, or view all the other smiths by pressing the view button.

Oh i think i confused myself there...

Now i just have to figure out how to flash the V525 to a V600

I dunno - i just bought mine two days ago So i should be getting better with more recharges - i'll let you know as soon as i can

Right now I have made 1 hour worth of calls and 7 hrs of standby and it is still 3 bars.
But then...
My cousin completely drained the battery in two hours though. She was playing monopoly. Monopoly is such a looonnnggg game - dunno why they would have thought of installing it when you can only play for two hours

Are you getting any software bugs?
Im on Vodafone branded software here, but I intend to flash the V600 very very soon...
