If you "try the phone" and go into the camera menu, you will see that the T630 camera has the same resolution options as the T610.

That are all software differences. I doubt they can't be implemented in T610 in the future. The only hardware change I see for now (except external looks) is the TFT screen. I'm afraid the memory size won't be changed

P200, T630, T610, P900, Z1010... All very great and beautifull phones, SonyEricsson wil become bigger with this serie of phones.
(I dont like the Z600 and T230 design that much)

While a 1MegPix cam is on the cards for S.E. phones, we'll only see them as early as next year, 2004.
Let's not hype it up here to avoid future disappointment.
As mentioned elsewhere in the forum, having a 1MegPix cam would mean a much larger inbuilt phone memory. That means a more expensive S.E. phone at least on the scale of P900. Are consumers willing to pay a P900 price tag for mid-range series?
Let's give this topic a rest for now.

megapixel cameras on phones will only be really useful for pics you transfer to your pc because you are not going to want to be paying to send those through GPRS or dialup or MMS etc (except on 3G phones I suppose which have the bandwidth for them)
