this is totally related and unrelated to the topic, but I was browsing around the net last night, and I found a phone charger that works by cranking it by hand. All you do is plug the one end to the phone charging connecter at the bottom of your phone, then it has a little winding arm that you wind for like 3 or 4 turns, and it gives you about 7 minutes talk time with those few turns.

right. Another clone for our collection i see.
Boyi.... you don't charge your phone in your pocket do you?
The trick of solar cells is that they need daylight, not necessarily direct sunlight. If the charger could draw it's energy from daylight... I'd be a happy camper

I'm saying.... a solar power CHARGER... which means I just leave it somewhere out in the open all the time and when my phone gets hungry I plug in that charger.... that's been lying around eating energy all day long anyway.

You will need some big panels and the phone needs an input of 5V at +- 500mA and this has to bee constant, a solar cell can't deliver constant energie... Chargers of H² are allready in devellopement, you know H²+O² -> 2H²O .... and I think are the most promising

I don't remember much chemistry (looong time ago), but wouldn't H²+O² = H²O² or 2HO (which is of course not possible)
I was under the impression that it's 4H + O² = 2H²O + boom
do correct me if I am wrong...
