£385

OK, i got one on Orange Your Plan400 from CPW 08000490049 to be delivered tomorrow,CPW price matched this site http://www.onestopphoneshop.co.uk/ price, £69.99 + £50per month (but "onestopphoneshop" wont get them for 2 weeks)

So CPW gave me the phone for £100 (normally £150) on a £50 contract for first THREE months & £15 for remaining 9 months, TOTAL price £385.

(i checked this 120 day minimum period before downgrade, with orange)

120 days is 4 months, so...

phone £100
4*£50 = £200
8*£15 = £120
total = £420

Plus then on a £15 a month contract u'll end up paying extra for calls, txts and data, unless hardly use ur phone.

I'd rather stay on the £25 a month contract and never have to pay more than £25 a month

@jamojdm, Yes i will explain further, firstly i don't want the sim at ALL, so the minutes mean nothing to me, i will be using it with other sims & unlocking it, two of my sims are OVP Virgin, one is o2. so i just wanted a cheap P9.

Second point is CPW confirm THREE months (90 days) before downgrade, the reference at the bottom of my post is because Orange have been known to make you wait FOUR months, so i had them confirm that if i had it through CPW it would indeed be the standard THREE months !! check with them on 08000490049

Also i use my other just talk phone for free texts, OVP sim for free answerphone & if i use the sim with this deal at all, it will be purely for 0800 freephone access for calling card company calls at about 2p per minute peak. i have a "work phone" & a SE phone with sim swopper to handle 3 sims & i can keep my privacy that way.

Well, i just want to post on here so everyone knows how crap Orange can be at customer service and satisfaction. I have had a p800 on orange since march this year, and my monthly spend has been on average prob about £80. I am now 7/8 months into my contract and with the dawn of the p900 I decided that it would be a decent upgrade. So, this morning I phoned Orange to sort this out. [Well, i phoned up to rectify a mistake on my last bill actually. Orange tell me something will cost £x and actually it costs 5 times that!] The guy in upgrades tells me it will cost £250 plus a £75 upgrade fee because I am only 8 months into my contract. I told his that is ridiculous because I can get it on a new contract for £70. He says that there is nothing he can do about it. He then points out to me I still have to run out my existing contract. I then explain to him that i could buy a new p900 on a new contract for £70 at £45 a month [where I currently pay £50]. Then change my existing contract down to a high speed data plan which only costs £10 a month [note; he didn't even know what a data plan was]. So, to run out my contract will cost £40 and i will have a p900 on the same contract I am on. He once again says there is nothing he can do. Then he tries to explain to me that companies "entice" [he used that word] customers to their network by offering good deals, but once you are aboard the network the good deals stop. I told him this was totally ridiculous and that orange would be losing my business over this if they didn't rectify it.

In summary, I think that the chap I spoke to on the phone was a total rookie, and I will be phoning back later to complain about this. Also, if Orange are concerned with getting people to their network rather than offering a good service to their customers, they have a lot to learn. I hope this serves as a warning to those thinking of changing to Orange just to get the p900. Also, if anyone from Orange reads this and finds it as ridiculous as I do then please contact me. It would be good to speak to someone inside Orange who isn't a total retard.

Good Day.

@dazbradbury, i have been with Orange for years, i use a OVP sim with no montthly payment as my "Lifetime" main mobile number, i notice recently Orange have had problems with not knowing what each other are doing, but can i offer advice, if you have a problem, ring them in the daytime & ask for Customer RELATIONS.
They are very happy to help people with a high call spend.

I once upgraded after 9 months with no fee & a fresh 12 month contract on same number by telling them i had persistant problems with my handset.

@daz. Frustrating isnt it? Ihave had the same problem even when 12 months is up. It has always been cheaper to cancel one contract and start another even with the same network than to do an upgrade This message was posted from a T610
