All,

Thanks for your response, I have checked with many SE service centres around London and no one has the T-Mobile software, they all have the SE generic version CDA 162003/5 or /8. I spoke with SE customer services and they suggested I send the phone to Hays Technologies who will be able to put the T-Mobile software back into the phone thus allowing me to perform the internet update.

Thanks
msuk

If SE service center is doing it, then it should be legal
If we are legally out of contract SE should not have a problem

BTW, where did u find SE centre around London?
Anywhere near central London???

Hi,

There is a T-Mobile centre at 110 Oxford Street London. Takes about 2-3 hours for them to upgrade your phone. Please note when I went there they flashed my phone with the SE P900 generic software (CDA 162003/8) and NOT the T-Mobile customised one.

Thanks

Hi guys,

can I get an update on this?

Using a remote unlocking service like unlockmymobile.com with a T28 datacable will unlock the phone, but will NOT allow a branded P900 to update with the latest SonyEricsson generic firmware via their update service, correct?

Is there really no other way to get the latest firmware than to take the phone to a SE service center?
