Do you have a weak signal (if that isn't too personal) ?
They installed something here during a takeover battle that killed the signal strength in an effort to stop industrial espionage (didn't do them any good by the way, we were still taken over). Anyway, it damn near killed the battery life.
Maybe if you've got v. poor reception, you'll have the same symptoms ? maybe ?

I think this will be the third time I've asked, do you use SMan or Tracker?

You are not really giving us enough information to help you.
Your battery life seems very poor. You may have a fault with your handset. Why not return it for a replacement? And if it is within 14 days you may be able to get another phone (make & model) with better battery life and fewer problems (with reference to your other thread about lots of problems with the SE P900 model).
Edit: there is one more reason why the battery may being drained; it was an issue with my P800. If I left it on GPRS permenantley rather than connecting to GPRS when when needed it drained my battery quickly.

Ok, Its a P900. I have alot of software installed but all disabled (removed from the memory). I have bluetooth but not in discoverable mode. I have done a new test. But nothing in the memory. no calls
time charge(%)
1 100
2 90
3 77
4 67
5 51
6 39
7 28
8 16
9 4
9.2 0
I did charge it properly from the start (16hours charge before turning it on). And now I am running a test without any software(fresh reset) and no BT.
what do think of the stats. I having a guess that its either software or just a faulty battery.
what do you think of the stats?
Is it clear now?

50% charge after 5 hours is serious. I hammer my P900 and I get 48 hours usage from it.
Could you check the GPRS setting. Look at control panel/internet accounts/other tab the preferred mode to minimise battery usage should be "GSM only" (which does not exclude GPRS).
I think you should call SE in your country and explain the problem. See if you can get a new battery under warranty. Or if in the UK and if you purchased from CPW you may be able to get a replacement phone.
Good luck.

@Jah
Just saw you post , I just got home from CPW at waterloo which open at 8:00 and got my 3rd P900. I just started charging it. The phone is switched off and I will leave it that way until tomorrow. then I will do 3 charge cycles and give you a report.
any other advice?

Good to hear you got a replacement.
I install all my apps on my Duo 128mb card. Why don't you try that and see if that has a positive impact on battery life. And I don't really notice any significant impact on performance when installing apps on the Duo card.

@Jah
Most of the app install a bulk of the program on the card and a small region on the phone.
With both phone when I tried to recover a backup (called restore) , it would pause on the restore part by telling me that "a file was unable to be copied to the phone" what do you to do "cancel,skip,retry".
This happen on both phone and I had backup the original program from the start. At some point the phone would crash on me while install a app telling me that "P900 has restart to improve the performance of the phone" , ok .
Have I stumbled on a damaging application for the P900, or is it just bad luck that i have the same thing happen to me with two phones?
