looks like a joke this phone does. Hopefully SE will bring out the TV tuner Duo. it says on that site that the 7700 supports up to 128Mb SD / MMC cards. and the screen is the same size as p900's apart from the nokia has a higher resolution. But nokia screens are typically dull and cheap so i assume this increased resolution will bring it up to p900 quality. also being permanently wisde screen i imagine writing wont be as easy as it is on holding a vertical p900.
lastl my god that is one ugly design! and i bet its HUGE!
Where does it say that the 7700 supports SD cards? Other MMC Nokias are known to support at least up to 512MB cards no matter what the site says (Nokia doesn't make cards bigger than 128MB itself).
Have you used the 7700? What colour Nokias have you used? If the 7700's screen is the same physical size as the P900's screen but has 3 (three) times the pixel amount, it sounds better to me. As for Nokia having "dull" screens, read this (from mobileburn 6600 review):
Check out that color!
The 6600's 65k color display is the single most compelling aspect of the device. It is everything a display should be: bright, colorful, and easy to view in all conditions. It really is top notch. Like the 7650's 4k color display, the 6600's display has a highly reflective backing and can be easily seen in even the harshest of lighting conditions. The bright white backlighting assures that the display works equally well in darker situations, too. It has the same resolution as the other Series 60 devices, 176x208, though it is quite large with its nearly 62mm diagonal dimension. No matter how you size it up, it is truly a brilliant display - in all senses of the word.
I assume the 7700 has a screen like the 6600 but bigger resolution. Not that other S60 Nokia screens weren't said to be good. The 4K colour S40 ones may not be that great but weren't there complaints about the T610's screen too, although it's bigger and has more colours?
Oh and, HUGE?

my god didnt realise quite how big it is! thats almost as big as the atari Linx!
all nokia screens are awful especially the likes of 7210 and 7250 etc etc they are basic displays compareble to the t68. the 6600 screen is an improvement but it does not match the p900 screen!
its one ugly phone its downfall will be the same down fall of the ngage poor unusble design with poor functionability and build quality.
At least Nokia are trying maybe their next phone will be something which can challenge the p900.

You don't get it. Series 60 screens are good according to reviewers. Series 90 is even better.

you dont get it the symbian OS does not make the screens look good its the actual hardware used and as we all know Nokia use poor low quality parts. I aint sure that, that thing would fit in a normal sized pocket.

the 7700 may have a higher resolution than the P800/P900, but they sure can't design a decent looking phone. Who would buy this? A rich kid who is keen on the NGage design? Because I don't think a serious business man would pull out this phone on a meeting. Just think the others would think he is playing with an NGage, or is hungry and starts to eat lunch, a HUGE Taco with chili and a high res screen.
I think SE will bring out a similar resolution screen next year and pose as an alternative to a stupid looking phone which reminds you of lunch.
