re: V600
this "phone" will be the make it or break it point for moto... they've gone waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay overboard with the v60.... this is yet another moto revival... the v60 was.. and now they can only hope for the successor to do it's job and succeed as another reviver for the company

Nokia keep making small screens due to inventory. This is the same reason they keep making b&w phones(2280 anyone?). When they run out of their 128x128 stock they will move on to a bigger screen. I can imagine the design already...

They use 128x128 for 6230 is because they are getting ready
for a model called 6250 with 128x160 screen that will release
2-3 month later after 6230 released.

You're thinking of the V500/V525. The V600 won't be out until February.

I don't know if Nokia are still doing this but one thing that really put me off was the crippled IR functionality on the 7210/6610 phones - do the current Nokias still do this or do they have proper IR functionality?

They will also make the 6230i model with a non exploding battery.
Edit: no forget it cuz they wont release two hole new futures in one
( i ) modell exept if it cost 300$ dollar more than the original

The only Nokias I know of to have functional IR are their Series60s.
Nokia rip everyone off by selling beta phones and then selling an 'i' model which has the bugs fixed and some token addition as if to justify the price hike. Why can't they just do FREE firmware upgrades like
Then again let them carry on being crap, don't want them copying

any more!
