does the firmware have anything to do with: 'take a rapid succession of photos by pressing the capture button more than once', as it states in the booklet, i tried this and it doesnt work i got R1A081

i don't think this will ever be,
since the phone requires to save the pictures first.

Pressing the 'Camera' button at the side once will take the picture and pressing it the second time will save the picture taken for you.(instead of pressing the joystick in to save)

Is this what they meant by 'take a rapid succession of photos by pressing the capture button more than once'?

omg!! is that the firmware??? i havent visited here for a couple of months but last time i was here i thought it was illegal to have the firmware??? and wats this bout being able to update it via a bt dongle??

The only phone that can be updated by yourself trough is p900.
