I believe Route 66 will have very soon have a package out for the P900/P910 which i suspect will be a lot less expensive than Wayfinder.. Its release i believe is now in December 2004, should be a good alternative to Wayfinder!

TomTom and Route66 have been telling 'SOON' since 2 years... I've been waiting to get navi on my P800... after that the P900... and now I couldn't wait any longer... I don't care for a few bucks cheaper... So Wayfinder is my choice, and still very happy to have GPS Navi on my Phone...

Ok, I've done some testing now and it is great!
First, cold start of the GPS is much faster than my Garmin eTrex Legend. It locates really fast. Navigation along a route works great, you can't drive wrong now, the voice intructions is clear and good. In map mode (vector maps) your position follows really great, fast no struggling or slow connection dependent s**t. But I can recommend to pre-download maps if you don't have a flat rate GPRS account or have a fat account at the bank.
When driving in mapmode, map chooses the optimal zoom level, cool! When driving fast, zoom is out and vice versa, and it zooms very fast too!
Pairing P900 and GPS were really easy too, they said hello to each other at once. But one funny thing is that Wayfinder did not give you the pairing code (0183). I found that at Emtac's homepage...hmm...

If you have any questions, please ask me.

Done some more tests.
It seemed like my phone didn't find the pre-downloaded maps before.
The conclution is, Wayfinder does not use much GPRS-data. I was driving around in the city for an hour or so in map mode and it only used 4kB!!!
So, don't worry you will not be poor using it!
I really recommend this product!
