I would like animated pictures on normal screen, starup screen, and off screen, not just on screen savers. (might need to bring phone charger with me all the time though) 8P

I also like the ringtone message reminder like the Motorola I had. It beeps periodically whenever I have an unread message, call or SMS, so I don't have to constantly checking the phone to see if I have missed anything. This is the only feature that I missed from my previous phone (there weren't that many features anyway).

I agree with some of the prior statements, mostly I'd like polyphonic tones, better resolution (though 256 colors is fine), more memory and a wait option in dialing (like Nokia) in addtion to the pause, which is really good for voicemail passwords.

The memory thing shouldn't be too hard with Sony on board. Their memory sticks are really tiny, you know. And that would be really nice for those of who use Sony digital voice recorders for our diaries. Like now, just pop the memory stick into the PC card into the PC slot and dragon naturally speeaking writes a noce transcription and Poof!!! diary on the go. Its cool and that would be a nice improvement on the t68. Increase in price probably but how many buy the digital voice recorders as it is. I suspect not very many.
I may recind my suggestion about the wait dialing function if a response comes up in the thread I've been discussing it in.

How about:

- Faster SMS Message Writing capability!! This is one of the fallback of ericsson phones, they are not SMS friendly.

- Faster Menu browsing

- More SMS Alert Tones (Not just the 'click' sound or 'stinging' sound

- Saving of Any numbers that was sent from an SMS Message (like the one in Nokia phones, they have the "Use Number" option)

- More space for downloaded background images (if the T68i has this then ignore--i use T68m )

- Faster key response when texting (is this the same with the first thing that i said?)

- The ability to search your phonebook by typing more than just one letter in standby mode so you can navigate your phonebook easily

- Option to toggle the floating clock whether you want it 'on/off'

... hmm so far this is what i can think of

cheers!

Move the IR port to the FRONT/TOP of the phone, increase it's range and use the phone as a programable remote control I can't think of a better enhancement. That way you could read SMS/MMS while surfing the set top box......

I don't feel sms writing is slow in my T68i R2A014 and its reported to be even faster in R2B025 and this wishlist if for any version that comes
after T68i software R2B025 (some few T68m owners managed to get it for their phones too). Have you tried writing SMS in this software??

dw: t9 is VERY close to nokiaspeed in r2b025... and a lot of the people who have replied seemingly don't know how to read :/
