you can flash t610 to t630. BUT to do this you need also the t630 LCD in your t610 because the t630 firmware won't work on just the t610 with its old LCD.

even with the t630 fw, however, you still won't be able to access my friends feature, for this you need the T630 GDFS file, which as of yet has not been released.

my theory, however, is that since the t630 can work on t630 firmware on the T610 GDFS file, there is no reason for the T610 not to work with its own firmware, but a T630 GDFS loaded onto it. if i ever get a hold of a T630 GDFS, i will try this out with my t610 and see how it reacts to bogdano's service. it would be interesting.

Hi there,
After a few good weeks of silence, we are able to announce a new version deployed at Yamigo.

This new version is reestablishing connection to Yahoo. Yet MSN and AIM are not yet supported but they are coming soon as well.

http://www.yamigo.com/content/view/26/2/

We also announce the publishing of a open Java API for integrating new services at Yamigo.

For more information read this.
http://www.yamigo.com/content/view/27/36/

We still have problems passing presence information to and from the phones. So basically this version is not reducing from the known limitations.

Cheers,
Bogdan

Hi there,
After many days of experiencing we are proudly announcing that the presence information is now supported for at least SET630. Also the Yahoo information realted to what buddies are online or if a buddy goes offline it is available to the phone.
We are interested if we were able to fix other phones as well (Nokia 6820 and Motorola V600)
Let us know.

Cheers,

Yamigo Relase 0.5.2 deployed

Wednesday, 02 June 2004

Major breakthru release. This is the first Yamigo version supporting the presence and status update notifications for Nokia phones. After a few months of fighting with this issue we are able to get it out of our way. From now on the users using Nokia 6230 (not tested but most likely Nokia 6820, Nokia 6220, Nokia 6810, Nokia 5140 or Nokia 7200) can chat and receive presence information from other users including updates from external systems (currently only Yahoo is supported). We are aware that things are not yet working perfectly and we ask for some more patience from the Nokia users, however the major chat/presence functionality is there and can be used.

We are able to announce that the connectivity to AIM will be possible starting with the end of this week, latest beginning of the next week.

Cheers,
Bogdan

Yamigo release 0.7 deployed

New features delivered:

Support for MSN connectivity. From now on you can receive messages and status updates from the MSN network. At least for the time being you'll need to manually enter the buddies in you phone. For example: To chat with the MSN Yamigo Support account you need to enter the following WirelessVillage address: wv:yamigosupport@hotmail.com@msn.com where yamigosupport@hotmail.com is the login name at Hotmail. Basically you need to append @msn.com to your full login name at Hotmail (eg: wv:someid@somedomain.com@msn.com).
Access Control Lists. Support for blocking/granting senders. From now on you'll be able to temporarily or permanently prohibit/allow users to send you messages. To find out more about his feature please read your phone documentation.
The "Welcome online" message will be displayed only once after the first successful login from the mobile device.
Yamigo is proud to introduce support for the eXtensible Messaging and Presence Protocol, XMPP, a standard protocol defined by the Internet Engineering Task Force (IETF). Unlike proprietary messaging protocols such as MSN, Yahoo or OSCAR, XMPP is open and well-supported by a large number of servers http://www.jabber.org/. Yamigo brings this way Jabber/XMPP access to wireless devices, via the operator-sponsored protocol, Wireless Village, highly optimized for mobile networks. If you don't have a Jabber account yet, you can register with many of the Jabber free servers available on the web (http://www.jabber.org/user/publicservers.php). We will be modifying the contact details page for you to be able to enter your Jabber details. Keep on tuned.
Fixes delivered in this release:

Support UTF-8 and ISO-8859-1 Now we can show correctly Scandinavian characters like: ÖÄÅöäå or French: ÈÉ or £ signs. The € sign is not supported.
Presence issues fixed related to interoperability between Motorola and Nokia phones.
SonyEricsson Z1010 workaround (to be removed later).
AIM reverse proxy login fix. Some users were reporting that they cannot login to AIM. This release fixes this.
Yahoo sessions dont timeout anymore. As a result you should be able to stay connected to Yahoo indefinitely
Known limitations/missing features for the reverse proxy function:

Yahoo support for UTF-8
Yahoo support offline messaging (send and receive)
Oscar support for UTF-8
ICQ support for Presence/status notifications
MSN suppoty for UTF-8

I am curious if for you k700i users of this service (yamigo) the polling time is the same: 13 minutes approximatively. If so, does anyone know how to change this to a more "instant" value?

Thanks.
