Doesn't surprise me at all. After all, they are great phones.

After having a Phillips Savvy, various Nokias and then a sony z7 (I think? terrible flip phone!!) and last year a t68 flashed to 'i', I have just got a T610. It is far and away the best phone I've ever used

My daughter just bought a Moto v525 - I was going to have one on upgrade and I'm damn glad I didn't now!

@mckinley: do you still want a samsung or do you want t650
i mean you registered on esato that has gotta mean something right

I did not know Esato was mainly used by SE users.
Regarding your question if I want SE T650 or Samsung, well it depends which Samsung hit the market but I think it will be T650 since I have owned T68, T610, own T630 and Z600.

yes.

because quite unlike the nagging bunch on this forum that are almost constantly annoyed by it's 'lack of mpix cam, lack of memory, lack of 25437645bln colour screen'

Like me - hahahaha - well all Im annoyed about is lack of memory - I dont care for the rest. But I would have liked some more memory with all the nice themes I want to put on it. Apart from that my T610 is one of the nicest phones ever all things considered

you know, i was going to complain about the memory as well and comment on how cool it would be to fit more games on my phone. then i counted and i currently have 14 games on it with 639kB free. (it's not a phone, it's a gamming console!) so i guess 2mB is enough - for now:D

It's not the sales of the lack of availablity that make the T 6xx series succesful, but the features. Don'T be annoyed by the lacking features, i paid less money for the best phone in its leagues (or even superior league).Look around to the other maunfacturers and compare urs with them.U'll win everytime, just like me

I fully agree, that's why I made that comment in the first place

Having that said, i did manage twice to fill up my phone's memory with a couple of games (12 at the last count) a few tones and far too many themes

I get by though I am still so very very pleased with this phone

And it still produces that 'wow' effect with co-workers, friends and even parents, which is nice

well - I have one game besides the standard games, about 10 themes, a few pictures and a few ringtones - thats it - and Im constantly down to around 125kb free mem - and constantly deleting before adding a new theme. Im not complaining - I do love my T610 and I do prefer S//E phones - anyone that knows me know that but I would have loved some more memory in the phone.

We've had this debate before - and I still have to disagree with those figuring that 2mb is enough because its just a phone.

The point is that - No its not just a phone - If I had wanted just a phone I could have gotten any phone. Any of the 15 phones in my closet would satisfy my needs if I just wanted a phone. This is not just a phone - its a multimediadevice, it has a colorscreen, it supports pictureid's, it supports polyphonic ringtones, it support java, it support morphungames, it has a camera, it support themes for personalisation. These are all the reason I got this phone and not just any phone. I would like to be able to actually use all the features it support - but it is simply not possible to use all features of the phone with only a litle over 1 mb memory free for the user. Simply by using the feature of pictureid's and adding a small picture for each of my only 30 contacts - would fill the phone to an extent where I would no longer be able to use any other functions - such as taking a picture with the camera, let alone anything else like ringtones, games, sending mms, etc. etc.

Its not a complaint about the T610 or S//E specific.
Its simply a general complaint to all phonemanufactures to put their money where their mouth is - and when they do make and advertise these phones with all their great features - that they also supply the base needed to actually use them as intended. Its really very simply - either add enough memory or, since enough can be difficult to decide on, better yet add a memoryslot to let the user decide for themselves how they want to use their "multimediadevice".

Luckily - it seems that some manufactures do listen to these "complaints". For instance, just to mention one, the soon coming Siemens CX65 (which btw is based on S//E T6xx Platform) is going to have 11mb memory - very nice. And its going to have a bigger TFTscreen, 40 tones poly, VGA cam with Videorecording, nice Design - and it will support themes - so I really hope the new S//E Txxx will provide some whooping specs soon or I might be very tempted to get me a CX65 And an Alcatel 756 for the kid to replace his 735 - 756 is coming with 256k tft screen, 40 polys, mp3 ringtones and a great VGA cam. A really really nice phone also.
