Just when I spent my hard earned money to buy a 256mb MMC for the upcoming 6230, up comes a better featured phone but with reduced size mmc. Nokia's stupidity amazes me at times.

edit: thanks Andrew
Remember CeBIT starts tomorrow, they will probably show more phones then
edit: or not, since they today already gave us 7610, Image Album, Car Kit CK-7W, Mediamaster 260 C, Mobile RFID Kit and the Lifeblog concept

Siemens S65 also has reduced size mmc - hope they are not too expensive like ms duo.
The 7610 squeezes in fantastic features for a phone targetted at Q2.
My guess is that Orange UK, who I use, will not make it available before July/August...so might have to settle for a 6230 in the mean time.
The S700 launch date seems really too far away to challenge the 7610, and other phones, that will already be available when launched.
To really make a splash, SE should have made the K700 available immediately and the S700 by the end of Q2 this year.
I am a big fan of SE but their current product roadmap is looking a little weak.

unfortunately you cannot use a normal sized mmc in a reduced size mmc phone. you can use a reduced size mmc in a normal sized mmc phone with an adaptor.
the whole memory stick duo vs memory stick normal thing again.

Precisely. RS-MMC can be used in MMC slots with the adaptor but NOT vice-versa...
Aaaaaahhhh...my 200th post...at last

nice phone, but there is one BUT....... why MMC memory storage? Too slow and too small ( storage space ).....
what are you rambling about MMC is better then Sony MS.. MMC is up to 512 mb. Anyways i think it's ugly but i'll probbaly get it i've had all the series 60 phones pretty much.
few things ..
idiots for not making it quad band but releasing 2 version.
idiots for not including a flash.
idiots fro making another stupid keypad people like the 6600 for that reason alone hint hint
supposedly it uses reduced sized mmc but regular mmc fits.. that doesn't make sense and i think it's the other way around like the sony ms' with the jacket.. but i guess we'll have to wait and see.
is this thing stereo???
also the sharp gx-30 is almost just as good without the series 60 though... and it's availabel now!
also why dont' the incorporate some side buttons or something instead of kraming the front with all these useless buttons..
the p800/900 side buttons work great!

@alfaromeo777 I'm not sure you read the specs correctly... this phone is way bigger then the K700 so you can't even mention it in the same category. BTW. even though it is bigger the screen resolution is still worse on the Nokia. This Nokia sits somewhere between the S700 and K700 in class... my personal opinion though is that it the SE lineup beats the crap out of this Nokia.
