It isn't just the government I have a problem with. The people here are so brainwashed that they believe and back anything the government says. And things have to get rediculous before they see that it is all just bullshit. People are just starting to question the reasoning behind the invasion of Iraq. Well America, you're about A YEAR LATE YOU BASTARDS! Shoot first and ask questions later: the American way.
I hate the politics of this country.

Of course it is! And they (not the individuals, but the force) deserve what they get! They shouldn't be there in the first place. They could have stopped the kidnappings by staying home.
I feel it is important to clearly differentiate the individuals from the force. I know many people who are fighting in Iraq because they have no choice: military personnel who needed money for college for the like. Then there is the force, which is made up of many individuals.
It is the force I have a problem with. The individuals (except the decision makers, of course) have families and friends and jobs etc.

I know nothing about any Czech journalists. At this point does it matter WHY they are being held? Ultimately it is because the US government decided to invade Iraq. Unless they are there for reasons completely unrelated to the war (which I highly doubt), they are the indirect victims of US foreign policy.
(Shit, even if they are there for reasons directly related to the war they are victims of US foreign policy. They just knew the risks before they arrived in Iraq.)
