I am really sorry guys, but i went to the store hoping they gave me MMS. But to my amazment, it had R2d! They lied to me so i am gonna complain to customer care n get a new 1 cos its a CW phone!
so sorry guys, i feel like killing SE people in charge of this roll-out!

I rang CPW in sheffield today who said if I popped down today an engineer would be available to upgrade my T68. Great I thought.. Once I got there though they told me it was still unavailable and sony ericcson will not be releasing it until they have managed to get rid of the "old" T68 phones (as the CPW sales guy so nicely put it!). Put my foot down a little and told them I had wasted my lunch break and also that they had not give me free call credit when I first connected to VF and managed to get £30 quid cheque off them so not all too bad..
As for the upgrade, they expected it last Monday but now they honestly haven't got a clue, so it looks like it could be a while.
Also found out that the upgrade is knocking about in the UK somewhere cos me mate who used to work at rang his mate there to try and get up but found out that soem staff have been bollocked after upgrading mates fones!

I emailed a threat of legal action to SE UKand received this reply today from David Dawson, Manger, SE Customer Services UK:
Mr ..
I would like to re-itterate the numerous communications that I have forwarded to yourself in respect of this subject.
Upon completion of thorough testing and acceptance, the software enhancement for the T68 will be made available to all T68 owners.
At no time has anyone refused you this upgrade.
As testing in the UK is almost complete we are expecting the launch of the software to be iminent, we await the release on EMMA and confirmation from Sony Ericsson Headquarters.
Upon release this upgrade will be carried out by Sony Ericsson Service Centres across the UK.
We have no intention of lying or treating any of our customers with contempt. It is in no one's interest to release this enhancement until we are confident that all necessary testing in all theatres of operation is complete. The release dates, as I have previously advised, are guidelines. As with this type of product release in all industries this date is likely to slide due to the findings of the team carrying out any relevant product testing.

What a lot of bull...the software for conversion is available and working, the sw for the converted t68m is the same sw as in t68i...the conversion sw has been on emma 2 for at least 2 weeks...SE use emma 2 to upgrade t68m to t68i (with "SE internal" hardlock) all of this testing nonsens just goes to illustrate how little the local se centers really know about when and why the upgrade will be availble...sorry but this really makes me upset...
