Is this true about the poor reception? And what about voice dialing?

I both had a p800 and t68i and the reception is about the same. But when i compare the reception of SonyEricsson phones to my samsung i see that Samsung has better reception than SE.

@bengalgirl: When i bought my p800 i just wanted the functions but after a while i didn't use all the functions and then i thought it was too big and i wanted a smaller phone, not from the start.

@bianca, can you really compare the reception of se and samsung phones? How do you do this? The network strength indicators on both phones use arbitrary units so cannot be compared accurately....?

I compare them by holding them next to eachother on the same place and see what the signal does. And i can compare it by using the phones. With my SE phones a had not enough reception to make call in my house but with my Samsung i can call in my house and i don't have problems at all

Ok but bear in mind that holding them side by side does not guarantee that theyre connected to the same base station.... Also, the antennae are on perpendicular planes, which would also contribute to erroneous results.

I am aware of that. I do think sony-ericsson is a great brand but when it comes to reception they are scoring less which isn't bad if you live in a place with great reception but my provider has little reception at my place. And the reception just makes that difference between being able to make and receive call or not

The fact is that the T68i / T610 has a better reception when at extreme range from a base station this is a documented fault with the P800!

I still like my e700 though it hasn't much functions. All i need is sms, mms, gprs and a camera and the e700 has that. I think i might buy the SE k700 as my next phone This message was posted from a WAP device
