If you've got an iPaq, it would be kind of pointless to have a hybrid. Rival OS would make it tough to guarantee 100% sync compatibility. I'm a happy P800 owner... as much as I'd like to upgrade to the P900, the cost/benefit ratio is just too small, with the screen and looks being the only differences.
A split PDA, T610/630/K700 would be a great combo if you prefer certain apps on Palm or PPC. But since I was able to get by without a PDA since I got my P800... I'll never go the split solution. It's just not for me. Others like it, since when you're not at work, you can leave the bulk behind. I prefer always having everything with me. And carrying 2 gadgets to social gatherings is just too much of a hassle for me.
I'm hoping the next gen P-series will be out before Q4... I heard a rumor that it should be out by June/July or Q3. But I heard that a while back, so I don't know what SE's plans are so far.
I do hope it supports larger memory cards... it would be a miracle if it didn't sport Sony's crappy MS technology... I'm sorry, but if it sucks...it SUCKS. But highly unlikely... Sony seems to be trying to regain losses of R&D on that failed product by forcing SE to buy into it. Too bad for us....sigh... hahahaha... we'll buy it even with the MS crap...and I think they know it! HAHAHAHA!
The 1.3MP camera is a sure thing... now that Sony has pahsed out all 1.3-2MP cameras in their Sony Cybershot line-up... SE will be picking up the CCDs from those plants real cheap.
From what I heard a while back, the next gen P-series will probably sport a full 320x240 screen rather than the 204 width we have now on the P800/900. I do hope they can make it thinner... 21-22mm thick would be great!
Anyway, let's just wait and see.

The K700 is a great addition. If SE can hurry and come up with a "low-end" budget phone based on the T610... have the K700 as the mid-range, and release the S700 soon as well... they'd have a pretty killer line-up... with just the P-series left! And it better be good!!!
