Babis:
I don't know about serious, but I have some backgrounds at
http://www.hedlasse.com/background/

I used Bugme on my Clie and loved it. It works fine also on the P900. But what I would really like is to use free text in the calendar, like in the Clie Organizer (that, alas, only works on one PDA, the Clie TH55)

New beta is out now.

If you check it is really good, with some of the points I made previously on this thread already corrected, interface improved, the day/date are bold and you can even decide the layout (split line) in the today view. Also many improve icons and very nice contacts incorporation.

Can somebody tell me how to insert a view from my phone here, like Hedlasse on this thread, on 2004-05-02 08:30

Use ScreenCapture by PsiNT, download the jpg to your computer and just follow the instructions when you post at Esato. (Attatch picture button).

like headlasse, I am a strong supporter of aquacalendar. I replaced Handy day with it, and the only thing I miss is the tray.

Handy Day 2004 is better than Aqua in my view. It lacks a month view but otherwise is more usable. The options in the tray down the bottom of the screen make the difference... being able to call up sms, email, bluetooth etc etc makes it more usable.

I agree you can make aqua look prettier than HD 2004 but that doesn't make it more usable and more practical. all it needs is birthday handling and a month view and it would be ideal.

Aren't we comparing a car to a ship here and complaining that the car can't be used on the water?

AquaCalendar is a PIM, not a productivity tool like Handy Day. Both applications have their strong and weak points...

HIYA,

if you look back thru this thread you will see various comparisons between this car and ship by other people.

If aquacalendar is simply selling itself as a prettier calendar display with no increased functionality/usability then fine it wins. It can be made to look prettier. That would seem to be a fairly useless function to me tho. As an analagy I wouldn't buy a Micra with a pretty paint job cos I liked the colour if I actually needed a Golf for the better ride, space and higher cruising speed.

If it is a tool then it loses (in my view) as it hasn't got the edge on better functionality.

I didn't make the comparison in the first place; I simply expressed my opinion on others claims.

cheers
