Still not discovered at facia that I like.
I have been thinking about buying an official housing and then colouring it to how i want. Thing is, I wouldnt know where to start. What is the best type of paint to buy, materials needed, would their be any need for primer etc ?

Also, would aerosols work ?

get down to halfords, buy some plastic primer and any car paint... they'll of course mix up any colour you want

Thanks Mixin. Think I may have some chrome paint somewhere or maybe Vauxhall Frost blue to match my car (pics of my car are posted on this site)

Hmm...

I have been asked by a few members what to look for in fake T630 housings on ebay.

Here are some characteristics to avoid.
Battery Cover is missing the padding to hold the battery in firm. This padding should automatically come with the battery cover.
Some vendors sell the battery cover mirror separate from the battery cover. They come from SE glued together as one unit. These parts should never be sold separately. Some vendors dont even include the mirror piece.
Some vendors sell the faceplate in 2 pieces. These units should also come as one piece from SE.
Missing SE logo. Some vendors are selling the antenna covers without the SE logo on the back.

Right. An official white T630 housing is now on its way to me at a cost of £23inc p&p. Just the colour to decide now.
Have seen some metallic cycle paint in various colours (green, blue, purple etc). might buy a couple of them and blend the colours by lightly dusting the housing with a few coats then clear lacquer on top.
Cant make my mind up.

Ok. The official white SE housing has now arrived. Still cant decide on a colour. Maybe a glitter/multi colour metallic type.

Also, will I need some fine sheets of sandpaper ?
