I used to own a 6600 before the P900.

They both have pluses and minuses over the other, but the P900 definately "feels" better. There's nothing better than putting down a show-off that's flashing his/her 6600 or SX1 around by pulling out your P900. You don't even have to flash it around, the 6600 owner will feel instantly "small".

I do miss the 6600 at first (Ngage games capability, one hand internet browsing, zoom images at full screen, better camera IMO...etc), but i got used to the P900 touchscreen and now i can't live without it.

My uncle (who owns a 6600) played around with my P900 a bit and now he wants one. He said it definately "feels" like a better phone. But that's just a matter of opinion, I think. If I couldn't afford to buy the P900, i'll be very happy with the 6600.

I looked at the 6600 also before buying my P900. The things that decided the matter was:

* P900 has a superior address book and calendar
* P900 synchs even Outlook notes pages with the phone
* P900 synchs tasks with Outlook
* It makes sense to enter semi-large amounts of text on the P900
* The P900 has a much larger screen that helps when viewing the calendar and other information.

Basically, if you want a PDA/Phone combo, the P900 is the best in town. The 6600 and SX1 are different types of devices, being SmartPhones rather than true information managers.

The real Nokia competitor to the P900 is really the communicator series (Series 80 UI).

Basically, the P900 is a perfect companion to my laptop. I can use and change calendars and contacts on the phone, and then synch things back and forth.

The Internet surfing with Opera is also big plus for the P900.

Maybe these nokias are better than p8? They are about the same price! This message was posted from a R520

the p8 still has the bigger screen, and the pen input, and the processing power, and all the other fundamental differences that make both "p" phones superior to series 60 on a purely functional level, imo.. which is what makes the p8 such a bargain at the mo.

And the P900 has also to play in stereo MP3 and very good Mpeg 4 quality.

And the theme's are also very cool.
And the build quality is far more better.

They belong to the same class of hi-end mobiles, but i'd prefer SE P series.
