Good choice. lotsa stuff are easier done on the p900. i dont know if it is gonna drastically get better than this. try using Ogg Vorbis @ 64 kbps instead of MP3. It sounds a lot better and saves a lot of space. chek out my home page for useful software for the phone... www.geocities.com/phoenixsvj ... except for the SmartBirthday, everything seems fine. the SmartBirthday's TSR (or wht'er it is" seem to crash once in a while, but no harm done for anything else. and mind you, the site might be off air coz of geocities' stupid download limitz.

Long live the P900. The best GSM overall phone on the market currently in my opinion.

Back in 1989 when I got my first Motorola, I thought that was it, the big ‘M’ ruled the roost. I flirted briefly with a couple of NEC phones, P3 & P4 if I remember rightly. My company then became a Nokia service centre and I converted over.

My first indulgence with an SE product was a T68; it took me a little while to become accustomed to the SE operating system. I have since gone on to a T68i, P800, and now own 2 P900’s; I now also have a Nokia 6600, to compare the two phones is just ridiculous.

In my opinion SE as a company are proving to be more innovative than Nokia. Although Nokia just have market share, due mainly to the number of low budget phones that they manufacture, until they make something that can compete with a SE product I won’t be going back.

At the end of the day, the 6600 and the P900 are in completely different leagues, and are thus incomparable. It's like saying, "should I get a dishwasher, or a toaster?"

But to choose a P900 over a 6600, is a good thing, and is more like opting for a Hummer over a PT Cruiser. If you think you will need, use and take advantage of all that the P900 offers over the 6600, then it's definitely going to be a wise purchase.

As others have advised, be aware of the P900's faults, it's a pretty damn nice piece of tech and arguably the best in it's league, but it's by no means perfect. But then, is anything?

Lastly, as an unbiased 50/50 user of both Nokia and SE phones, I do have to say in Nokia's defence, that Nokia's Series 60-90 user interface is most definitely better organized/more friendly than SE's UIQ (why the hell you can't custom organize your Application's icon or list view order is beyond me).
