you seem to have missed a few other important differences for the money

x100 vs K700
CSTN screen versus TFT
128x128 vs 176x220 pixels
no Java MIDP 2.0 vs Java MIDP 2.0
no email vs email
no IR vs IR
crappy UI vs pretty good UI

etc etc

need I go on?

I do have to say, with respect, that you are deluding yourself if you think this samsung comes anywhere near parring up with the K700

If it did, Samsung would price it accordingly, they wouldn't make it half price or less. thats just how business works

and of course lets not forget that samsung doesn't have bluetooth....
i think you should compare x-100 to t310 and not to k700, lol
just look at this you see the red crosses mean that it doesn't have that feature, lol

You cold always buy a samsung X-600 ( an X-100 version with a 180 DEGREES ROTATE LENS,VGA,FLASH LENS CAMERA) for $ 230..coz i understand its important to have a camera phone for those moments.
