So actually the use of displex on the display is limited. This message was posted from a T630

Displex IS a mild abrasive, similar to rubbing compound used on car laquer/paint. What it does is polish/rub away the scratch. The only limit, really how many times you can use it, is the thickness of the display plastic
In my experience it doesnīt (of course) work with deep scratches, but it does make them less visible and annoying.
For minor scratches though, it works very well indeed, even if it does rub of the top coating.
But as I said earlier, if the display is ruined anyway you canīt make it worse.

As i see the quality of the displays should be better in the next future. I mentioned to have a tiny scratch aswell, even i do really take care of my fones. Still dont know how i managed it. Brands an operators do prefer to change the housing instead of using such equipments like displex. This message was posted from a T630

The problem as I see it, is 1/ display quality seems to be worse nowadays than say when the S868 was new.. and,
2/ Latest fashion calls for the display to be flush with the surrounding surface, which makes it easier to scratch. Look at a Nokia 6210 at the surfaces around the display, they are often worn right through the silver finish while the display itself is unscratched. Not a bad idea really..
3/ SE has had problems with the topcoating on the T610, my first 610 had a million fine, fine scratches after 14 days of use
The red cover i bought and replaced the original silver one with was much, much better!

Those are good point of view. Unfortunately the brands prefer more their interest instead of the customers. Indeed, our esato community gives more attention for such, in others eyes not so important things, but it shows that we not just use our fones, more we wish real support on every level. Displex is a solution, but the real one should come from the brands. The display is a very important apart of the fone, /// did a great trick to protect it better on t28 and r320. Their display shape was a good idea. This message was posted from a T630
