I doubt that, because the manual says, to take the ms duo out, push the stylii down hard.

If you look at the length of the stylus it goes way past the memory card so i think you misunderstand.

Follow my steps and it wud come out no matter what..
1.Take a copper wire and heat it and stop just before it melts and insert that rod down the stylus's left over a$$.. that will mark the end of the stylus..
2. Be happy that the matter is solved.
3. Worry about how to get the melted stylus out of the hole.

Depending on whether it's the nib(navy blue) bit or the nib+the aluminium tube with no "Grip-top" then use a cocktail stick.
It happened to me: so basically you are holding the top of the stylus and saying "where the f*** has the rest gone? Has the phone eaten it?". Push a cocktail stick down there and due to the thin points on either end and a wider body, the cocktail stick will grip the inner of the tube. Pull and hey presto, un stylus!

I have a feeling I misread what has happened, but just in case the same happens to someone else as what happened to me, that is the solution..

The original post may be quite old now but i came across it whilst trying to find a fix for the same problem for my Sony P990. This post is really for anyone also looking to fix the same problem.
Take a large paper clip and unfold until u have an "L" shape.
Put the longest edge and place into the stylus hole at the top of the phone.
you can slide the paperclip down the hole and down past the broken stylus so they sit side by side in the slot.... if the paper clip is quite thin is this is easy enough to do.
take the top part of the paper clip and turn it like a key in a lock.... it will with gentle pressure begin to rotate and also rotate the broken stylus and help the broken piece work itself loose enough so that when the paperclip is removed a few sharp taps and the stylus should fall out.
