lol i bought a vivanco 2.5mm to 3.5mm adaptor the other day (well you can buy it in every little store at least her ) for about a pound and it was actually working ok but then i broke it so i paid about 20 pounds for the repair (well the pin got stucked really hard in my p8 ) so my advice buy the one from the ipaq repair site because you can get a lot trouble if you buy a cheap one that's sticking out of your mobile like a freakin antenna.....

I built my own adapters. I didn't like the bulky standard adapters that were available so I decided to streamline them. Thus, it's sleeker and it makes sense... Some members suggested that I mass produce some of these adapters, but I'm keeping that idea on a back burner...I'm currently using a Sennheiser headphone with modified jack scaled to 2.5mm along with some of the nicest sony pocket travel speakers with built in amp and mic jack for speakerphone capability I purchased from Japan recently..

Check out my little travel kit I built last year.. Those pics are of working prototypes all with 2.5mm jacks. Amplifier (super loud) + 2 types of portable speakers + modified stereo headphones..

You can check if your sound is stereo with this simple trick. Go to your volume control panel on your pc. Put the mic balance slider to the left end. Open the windows sound recorder and record your voice for some secs. If you play the file the left speaker only should play your voice. Put the file in your phone and play it. Only the left headphone is supposed tin play. If both play them you have mono adapter or wrong. If the right headphone plays them the adapter inverts channels. I just found the following 2.5mm to 3.5mm adaptor which seems to be 4 way. But, what is confusing is that there seems to be two variants one for pocket PCs, the other for Samsung.
http://www.expansys.com/product.asp?code=PPCPADPT01 (pocket PC
http://www.expansys.com/product.asp?code=108428 (for Samsung)

The thing i would like to know before I order one of them is, will either work for a SE P900?

Also, the iPac adaptor referred to in the earlier posts looks from the picture to be 3 way. What functionality is lost with the missing line?

Any information would be greatly appreciated.
