I'm running XP SP2 w/ a P900 and the PC Suite.
(1) All of my "Phone Monitor Options" COM Ports are disabled
(2) All of my "Phone Monitor Options" COM Ports are not reserved
(3) My Bluetooth LocalCOM-Server port is set to com7
(4) My virtual Bluetooth com port is set to com 41
(5) Link properties for the Phone Connection Link are enabled for both com 7 and com 41
(6) No issues

Bob

Marvelous, so someone has it working.
Can you then tell me, how if you wanted to go about syncing your phone, how you start it.
I mean - is the p900 permamently connected? Say you just turned on your p900 next to your PC and you want to sync it - how does the connection start?

All I do is start the BT Serial connection on the PC.
As a side note - you can not start the BT serial connection with the P900 if there is another BT connection (headset, dun ....) already in established.
You can, however, start a BT DUN session after making a BT serial one. I have yet to get headset will not work after the serial connection.

My P900 works fine with built-in BT on my VAIO TR2MP (still have Bluesapce software installed).
Just Tell Bluespace to initiate at BT serial connection & everything works as before SP2.
The SP2 has created a PAN Network option which I didn't have before and selecting this with the new XP BT icon allows me to create a PAN network over BT with my MSI dongle in the works desktop, which is sweet as it lets me share the Broadband connection at work!

This is entirely my point - where do you start a serial port connection when using native SP2 Bluetooth drivers??
I have no problems either when I use my proper D-Link drivers - they are very good infact - but when you use SP2 native BT support I can't find a way to start a serial connection at all! It's waiting for the software to start it, which isn't going to happen in the case of the PC Suite as it waits for the serial port before it becomes active, not the other way around.
Anyone else?

Solution:
The new PC Suite has an extra option in the Connectivity Suite - ie the litle lightning bolt icon at the bottom of the screen which allows you to force the COM port start signal.
Without this, as I suspected it is impossible to start a serial port connection when it has already been dropped, or when the phone was not in range / turned off at PC start up.
It seems to be working but time will tell to see if it's reliable long term....

I am planning on purchasing the
D-link DBT-120 Wireless USB Bluetooth Adaptor. It is on sale for £35 at my local computer store and boasts a 33feet range. Has anyone got any experience with this device before I go ahead and buy it?
